We bought a house! A first for us, and I've been spending most of my weekends reworking parts of it. It was owned by an old lady who had done very little with the place for 25+ years so a lot of it was in disrepair. We've had a new kitchen installed, and I've been doing painting and installing new flooring. It's starting to look less like a wreck from the late 80s, and more like a modern functional home.
A video game I was working on launched just before Halloween, The Missing Few. If you've been on this blog you'll have seen it before, but here it is on Steam. I was the lead artist and had been tinkering with it in my evenings for about four or five years. What started out as a portfolio project of mine between jobs has developed into a full title, and I'm very happy to see it out in the world.
I'm also teaching again and working away on my Master's. Life is getting back to normal, and I'm enjoying the newfound free time that has come my way, now that the game is out and the move is basically done. While 2020 has been a trainwreck for the world as a whole, I'm happy that we've almost made it through.
I will get back to finishing off the last Dragon Creek book eventually, though I am not going to start anything immediately. For now I'm content to play D&D, teach, study, and turn this old house into a bright spot in the darkness.
